The three Mele Murals along this wall each represent three main sources of Hawaiian ‘ike (knowledge): Papahulilani (realm of the heavens), Papahanaumoku (realm of creation) and Papahulihonua (realm of earth and ocean). The mele written on these walls are called Mele Ko‘i Honua, or creation chants.
